Large Format Printing is for viewing from a distance becasue the prints are mostly large in sizes, so you have to stand at quite a distance before you can properly see it. The DPI to choose will depend on the application & placement of the prints..Is it for outdoor or indoor usage?
For Indoor, we will go for min of 600 dpi - 1200 dpi. Outdoor would require min of 300 -600 dpi depending of whether its a billboard or banner..General rule would be lower resolution for further distance viewing..pls comment..
